THE TEAM
As a boutique firm, we work closely with you to offer highly personalized service. However, we also provide the security, convenience, and other large-firm benefits by operating on Charles Schwab’s investment platform.
PRINCIPAL
Aaron Brask
My primary goal is to educate clients and come up with robust, efficient solutions that bring them the most peace of mind while achieving their financial goals.
Unlike most investment advisors, Aaron’s background is in research – not sales. While working for two leading investment banks in New York and London, Aaron built and managed global teams to provide investment and risk management services for the firms’ top clients. He has been published and quoted in major newspapers and magazines including the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Barron’s, and Risk magazine.
Aaron is well respected by his family, friends, colleagues, and clients on both personal and professional levels. He is highly driven and focused on succeeding but always maintains the highest level of integrity in his endeavors. Aaron has a long track record of achievements both in academia and the investment business.

The Client
You
As the client, your needs your goals, and your preferences will determine how our relationship evolves and what services I provide. You may be looking to outsource 100% of your financial affairs (financial planning, portfolio management, etc.) and hire me as your personal CFO. Alternatively, you might be a DIY-type looking for one-off services (e.g., financial plan, insurance or annuity products, etc.). Regardless of the particular services you choose, you appreciate the expertise and personalized approach I can provide.
CUSTODIAN
CHARLES SCHWAB
When working with my firm, your assets will be held at Charles Schwab. In particular, my firm does not take custody, possession, or even gain authorization to transfer assets outside of your account(s). You only allow us limited access to manage your account (i.e., invest on your behalf) and permit Schwab to remit our fees.
This structure allows you to work with us as an independent advisor providing personalized solutions while maintaining the security, convenience, and other benefits of a large firm. For example, this arrangement removes potential conflicts of interest that exist with many larger firms with their own broker-dealer arms or affiliates. Indeed, Schwab’s platform gives us access to a broad market of investments to choose from. However, my firm has no proprietary securities or revenue-sharing agreements with other investment managers or funds.
Another benefit is that Schwab provides objective reporting of portfolio values, transactions, etc. I believe having Schwab as a trusted custodian of your assets allows for full transparency and creates a system of checks and balances to protect your assets.
Checks and balances logic applies to firms that engage in investments as well as other professional services (e.g., legal or tax services).
Moreover, the turnkey asset management platforms (TAMPs) attorneys and accountants often use effectively outsource the financial planning and investment functions.
CHIEF RELATIONS OFFICER
DAVID E.
David is my chief organizational officer. He originally attended one of my seminars and eventually became a client after much due diligence. It was obvious from the start that we were very like-minded; we were both analytical and genuinely enjoyed helping others. Having attended seminars offered by other financial professionals and listened to other pitches, David truly appreciated my educational approach over the sales techniques other employed.
Upon hearing me mention that I was looking to hire someone to help grow my practice, David and his wife were both eager to help me in my hiring quest. However, after learning more about the role I had in mind, David tossed his hat into the ring and he has been an invaluable asset ever since.
INTERN
MATTHEW K.
Matthew has been an excellent analytical resource helping me analyze retirement withdrawal strategies. He is currently attending University of California Berkeley and anticipates graduating in the spring of 2025. I am always open to the idea of summer internships where bright and curious minds can help me conduct various analyses around investments and financial planning.
